Playgroup was founded by sisters Arta Gjota and Nita Gjota who are the former owners of the successful Lincoln Square Nursery and Preschool in Chicago which they ran for 6 years. They both have extensive training and education in early childhood development, child psychology, and both worked for many years as a nanny before launching their preschool.
Understanding that parents are searching for a diverse range of enrichment options they decided to restructure their business and create a scheduled play and enrichment program in the North Shore. Playgroup is the perfect complement for children who stay home or who want a few more hours of creative play after their morning preschool.
Playgroup is a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. Our programs are designed so that children can grow and develop at a pace that suits them individually. Our signature approach to early childhood education is built upon stimulating play-based curriculum and STEAM-centered play, designed to support each age group’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs. To provide each child with meaningful and relevant opportunities for growth, we personalize the daily program as needed.
